1078Facebook needs some pesticide to weed out apps

Like every other twenty-something I am addicted to facebook. It doesn’t matter if there’s anything going on with the website, I still have to log in and play around on it. Now that they’ve added the possibility of third-party developers to develop applications using the facebook API, there has a been a massive influx of absolute crap. People on facebook start using the new applications, which a lot of them don’t perform any real useful functions, which then just makes it a burden to check out their page because there is 9 pages of camouflage covering up their actual profile information.
There’s a certain amount of “customization” and integration that makes facebook much more versatile (such as being able to export from picasa to facebook photos) but it’s almost as if some people want to port myspace’s poor design, usability, features, presentation, and reputation for breaking, over to the reliable and next-gen system that is facebook.
I’m a facebook fan and just like pirates will always beat ninjas, facebook will always beat myspace.
