So, another chapter of the pitfalls of trying to study abroad has been opened. I FINALLY recieved a reply to my inquiry from a month ago to the university where I’m supposed to be going in Korea. They claim they have no record of the wire transfer that I made on Dec 18th that was confirmed by Wachovia.

I made a substantial wire transfer to secure my dorm room for the duration of my stay.

My stomach sank when I read this email. Seriously, how does a bank just lose a large sum of money like that? You know if the wire transfer wasn’t successful, then someone would have contacted the bank and then the account holder to let them know that the transaction failed for whatever reason.

Needless to say, Wachovia has a lot of explaining to do when they open up in the morning. This is absolutely unacceptable. Either the Korean bank screwed up or Wachovia is just a bunch of tards.
