1033A couple of downers, and maybe some uppers

Well my girlfriend called from Vietnam and it looks like they aren’t going to be home when they thought they were. Their plane tickets were bought so they’d be home Dec 20th, but the government there is dragging their feet and the exit stuff is going to take like 72 hrs after the meeting on the 21st to get approved. So they have another extra week of waiting around on stupid people. It’s a little depressing because they’ve already waited around for far too long doing nothing much of anything. You’d think that that kind of stuff would be set up and all ready to go PRIOR to actually going all the way over there to adopt a baby. I just want my girl home for Christmas, which might not happen.
In other news, I started studying for my DSCI final last night. It started out alright. I got through a few review problems and then realized that I had about 10 more chapters to go through. I looked over the other review material and I couldn’t pull it out of my a-hole even if i studied all night long. Lucky that I only need a 55 on the final to pass the class.
Tonight I’m trying to gather up a group to hit up the Chinese buffet to get fat and happy after my exam. There’s always that one class that’s a complete drag. That one is it. Everything else I basically enjoyed and got something out of. DSCI however just seems to be way out there compared to the rest of the curriculum.
It’s going to take me forever and a day to get my undergrad studies done. I never thought that the school of business would be so intense, but I’ve been told that the IT curriculum at ODU is probably one of the toughest in the state, if not the country. GREAT! At least if I don’t do as well as I hope, I can repeat the class and make sure I focus on getting a better grade.
